We are thanking the Lord and the many cheerful givers for a wonderful and successful auction last month.

In U.S. History, we have been talking about the middle of the 19th century.  The Second Great Awakening, the age of Jackson, the rise of cults and the Era of Expansion are a few topics we have been studying.  The students have done some great speeches and pretty impressive papers along with their normal homework, quizzes, tests and discussion in class.

Mr. Kipfer continues to be retain the "Story-telling Champion of the year" title.  We started to learn about different beliefs within Christianity and have been specifically talking about our Apostolic heritage.  Did you know the first elder of the Bluffton church was beaten and jailed?  Because of his faith, multiple people in the jail were converted.

In M.S. Science, we have been studying the human body.  Dr. Lemmen was willing to come in and talk about the nervous system.  The students have been reminded in many different lessons, projects, and discussions that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made".

In Chemistry, we have started learning the wonderful wide world of stoichiometry.  The Sophomores never realized that moles (not the animal) were such an important concept in Chemistry.

In Physics, we are working with Newton's Laws.  There has been some educational and funny demonstrations in class to help us understand each concept.

The sophomores and Juniors did a great job taking the PSAT on Wednesday, November 1.  Thanks also to Mrs. Lemmen for administering it.  Needless to say, everyone was exhausted after that intense morning.
