In the past month, the students have been working hard on the play. And although that has affected their focus, we have still been able to get some math worked in.

One thing the middle school math class has looked at are the interior and exterior angles of a polygon. The Pre-Algebra class used ratios and proportions to solve problems involving rates. The Algebra 1 class did a challenging lesson on domain and range, and the Advanced Math class began looking at series and sequences.

In high school, one of the Geometry classes struggled through a lesson of proofs using Side-Angle-Side and Side-Side-Side while the Algebra 2 began looking at Conic Sections. The Pre-Calculus class is studying exponential functions while the other Geometry class just completed an entire chapter about finding and using the area of a figure.

As you can see, the students have had a lot on their plate. And teaching students to be responsible by giving them numerous (but not too many) tasks is part of what we do here at Kingdom Academy.
