March Curriculum Update for Mr. Bertsch
U.S. History--We continue studying the beginning of 20th Century including expansion, Spanish-American War, and we will begin WWI next week.
M.S. Science--We began a chapter that studies Phylum Anthropoda. The 5 classes in this Phylum are Insects, Spiders, Crustaceans, millipedes and centipedes.
Biology--Cellular Respiration and Protein Synthesis are the topics this month.
Physical Science--We have been studying all the Forces in creation and how they affect our world around us. These forces include gravity, the electromagnetic force and the strong force (nuclear force).
Chemistry--We have been studying the difference between Molarity and molality along with how different ions affect freezing and boiling points.
Physics--Matt Lemmen (the lone student) is studying geometric optics and how to draw concave and convex lenses.
Human Anatomy--Olivia and Lauren started a unit on the lymphatic system.
Marine Biology--We are studying the ecosystems of the oceans and how different species live with and thrive together through symbiosis.
