In Biology, we studied the cohesion of water by doing the old "how many water drops can you fit on a penny" demonstration

These freshman are so excited to be in class.

We studied how water travels up a plant in Biology.  Then we decided to put it to the test by sitting these objects in purple water.  

It is difficult to see in this picture, but they both turned purple.
