Monthly Curriculum Update for Mr. Bertsch

U.S. History--We started studying the beginning of 20th Century including education, technology and the Industrial Age.

M.S. Science--We began a chapter that discusses in detail the concept and debate of evolution vs creation.

Biology--Biochemistry is our topic this month.  All living things are composed of nitrogen, carbon, oxygen and hydrogen.

Physical Science--We have been studying Newton's 3 Laws of Motion and how they affect the physical world around us.

Chemistry--Acids and Bases play a critical role our lives in may ways.

Physics--Matt Lemmen (the lone student) is studying waves and how they interact in different mediums.

Human Anatomy--Olivia and Lauren started a unit on the cardiovascular system.  Cindy Lemmen has volunteered to come in and share with them how this topic relates to the real world of a nursing career.

Marine Biology--We are studying the vertebrates of the ocean which includes sharks, rays, skates and bony fish. Did you know that there are 350 species of sharks alone?!
